Mobile Notary Services and Fees:

Q. Are you a certified or affiliated notary?

A: Yes! Spells Mobile Notary is a current member of the National Notary Association (NNA) and stays up-to-date with Georgia’s legal notary standards and practices.

 

Q: Why is it important to bring a valid ID to my notary appointment?

A: A valid, government-issued photo ID is required by law to verify your identity during the notarization process. Without proper identification, the notary cannot legally perform the notarization, which protects you from fraud and ensures your documents are handled securely.

Q: What are your standard notarization fees?

A: Our standard notarization fee is $2 per notarial act (per stamp), as mandated by the State of Georgia.

Q: Do you charge a travel fee?

A: Yes, we charge a travel and dispatch fee in addition to the standard notarization fee. The fee varies by county: Houston County - $30, Bibb/Macon County - $45, Peach County - $40.

 

Other counties may be considered on a case-by-case basis with a mutually agreed travel fee.

 

Q: Is there an Administrative Fee?

A. Yes, we charge an administrative fees cover the time and resources required to prepare for your appointment, manage documentation, confirm scheduling, and coordinate any custom services. These fees are in addition to the state-mandated notarization fee.

General Notarizations: $25 administrative fee

Power of Attorney: $25 administrative fee

Wills & Trusts: Starting at $25 administrative fee (depending on witness or documentation needs)

 

Q. Are there any additional dispatch fees?

A: Yes, we have the following additional dispatch fees:

After-Hours (after 7:00 PM): $10 

Weekend: $10 

Holiday (all federal holidays): $20 (travel fee still applies)

Q: Is there an additional fee for notarizations at hospitals, hospice facilities, or assisted living facilities?

A: Yes, there is a flat fee of $25 for notarizations at hospitals, hospice facilities, or assisted living facilities. Please note that the client is responsible for ensuring patients are alert and that notarization is allowed on-site before the appointment.

Q: What is the fee if I need you to provide a witness?

A: If Spells Mobile Notary provides a witness, the fee is $25 per witness. Clients are welcome to provide their own qualified witness at no cost.

Refund Policy:

Q: What is your refund policy for fees and deposits?

A: A $10 booking deposit paid in advance to secure your appointment is non-refundable. Fees for travel and service are also non-refundable and apply regardless of whether the notarization is completed. The stamp fee is only charged if the notary stamp is successfully applied. If the stamp cannot be applied, you will not be charged the stamp fee, but all other fees related to the appointment will still apply.

Method of Accepted Payments:

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

A: We accept payments via cash, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover through Square Point-of-Sale.

 

A non-refundable booking deposit must be paid in advance via email/text invoice to secure your appointment.

Q: Do you have a physical office where I can schedule an appointment?

A: No, Spells Mobile Notary is a fully mobile Notary Public service and does not maintain a physical office for appointments. Appointments are generally scheduled at your preferred location or at mutually agreed public places like local restaurants, coffee shops, or public libraries. The appointment location determines any applicable travel fees.
